Carol Pepper

Pepper International

Carol is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pepper International LLC, an award winning family office located in New York City. In 2015, Carol was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Private Wealth by Private Asset Management. In 2014, 2012 and 2011, Carol was nominated for Private Asset Management awards. In November 2009, Barron’s named Pepper International as one of the top family offices in the United States. The firm won a Growth Leadership Award in 2008 from the Family Wealth Alliance, and in 2007 Carol was named a Rising Star in Wealth Management. Carol specializes in offering highly customized family office services to families with over $100 million in net worth. Carol also acts as a consultant to families that would like to create their own family offices and has built family offices around the globe. She has an expertise in working with international families that have needs in multiple jurisdictions and in impact investing for both domestic and international families.

Carol has over 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry. Prior to forming Pepper International in 2001, Carol had extensive experience as a private banker at JP Morgan Private Bank, Citibank Private Bank and Credit Suisse Private Bank. She managed over $1 billion of private client assets as a Senior Relationship Manager and Portfolio Manager at Rockefeller & Co. As a principal at Morgan Stanley, she was instrumental in creating a web-based virtual family office prototype. Carol graduated cum laude from Bryn Mawr College in 1984 with a BA in philosophy and a minor in Russian language. She obtained a MBA in entrepreneurial studies from Columbia University Business School in 1989.

Peter Fusaro

Global Change Associates

                        

Peter C. Fusaro is Chairman and Founder of Global Change Associates. He also acts as chief strategist for clean energy, natural gas and water technology initiatives. He has been involved in the launch and expansion of some of the world’s most successful and game changing technologies of our time. Peter is the best selling author of What Went Wrong at Enron and is an energy industry thought leader noted for his keen insights in emerging energy and environmental markets. He has catalyzed the revolution in clean energy and water futures.

Peter is a professor at Columbia University teaching renewable energy project development and finance. He is on the advisory board of both the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise and Bard College’s MBA in Sustainability in New York City. He co-founded the Energy Hedge Fund Center in 2004 and sold it in 2011.

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

Jack Tyrrell founded the Prudential-Bache Health Care Group in 1982 and served as its president until founding Lawrence, Tyrrell, Ortale & Smith.  The Prudential-Bache Health Care Group, a specialty investment banking unit, was a significant of capital for the health care industry, including venture capital financings, private placements and public offerings.

Lawrence, Tyrrell, Ortale & Smith raised $114 million in two venture capital funds during the Eighties and invested primarily in health care and software companies.  Mr. Tyrrell was a general partner of the Lawrence, Tyrrell, Ortale & Smith funds.

Richland Ventures, of which Mr. Tyrrell was managing partner, raised three venture capital funds totaling approximately $350 million in the Nineties.  The investments in those funds were predominately made in health care, information systems and Internet related companies.  Some of the companies Mr. Tyrrell was a lead investor in and director of include Oxford Health Plans, Regal Cinemas, Medaphis, Symbion, ActaMed (WebMD), Appriss and U.S. Healthworks.

Mr. Tyrrell now invests for his family office fund, JRS Partners, in a variety of startup and early stage companies.  Mr. Tyrrell is a director of Regal Cinemas, Cicayda LLC, Besito LLC and Ampersand Health.  He has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and an M.B.A degree from Harvard University.  Mr. Tyrrell resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
